About the Band

1.  The Good Times Band has been together for 16 years, which is very unusual for a local band to stay together this long.

a.       The band has literally lasted longer statistically than some marriages.

b.      The success is credited to a very strong sense of teamwork.

c.       The foundation is made up of trust, caring for each other, and respect for each other’s talents and contributions.

2.  The secret to this band is variety.  Very few bands can cover a wide range of musical genre.

a.       This band covers all styles from Jazz to Country, from Rock to Standards.

b.      Key to success is playing what the audience wants to hear, not what the band wants to play.

c.       The members of the band view the work as fun.  You have to want to play.  It’s not a job for any of the members as each have full time careers.

3.  Professionalism depends on breathe of skill.  This band has a wide background which adds to the eclectic nature of the show.

4. Good Times is a value-added entertainment group.  You get more entertainment than most bands.

a.       While many bands play 40 minute sets per hour, this band is notorious for playing 75 to 90 minute sets.  That appeals to venues.

b.      The band not only covers a wide range of musical styles, but provides a turn-key entertainment product for weddings, i.e., church service, cocktail hours, and DJ entertainment during breaks.  This band can also provide packages intertwining Live music with DJ to suit all your needs.  All managed within the core membership.

c.       Because this band is a part time business, the members can afford to offer more value to our customer.  For example, while some bands charge $5,000 or more for a wedding, Good Times can do it for a fraction of the cost.

5.  The focus is on the people, both within the band, and with the customers.

a.       It’s risky for bands to call up potential singers and have them perform.  This band is talented enough to pull this off on a regular basis.

b.      The band interacts with the audience.  They don’t play at the people, they play to the people.

c.       We’d be glad to furnish anyone with references.
